sweet: it used to be my bedroom is both a portrait of the artist and the community they come from. The piece layers footage of movement with footage of participants in a lime (a culturally specific, meandering way of hanging out in Trinidad and Tobago). As such, the piece offers communal and personal insights into Caribbean approaches to questions of intimacy, desire, and belonging.
