Description: Presented in collaboration with poet Amanda K. Larson in New York. Inspired by the biblical framework of sacrifice, the video layers personal footage of New York City, movement, and a poem by Larson to excavate new meanings out of common experiences of rejection and isolation. Just as sacrifice traditionally leverages cosmic energies, the video visualizes an attempt to mediate diasporic dislocation through movement.
